The Academy of Preachers is a fresh initiative, underwritten by the Lilly Endowment, designed to identify, network, inspire, and support young people who sense a call to Christian preaching.

Executive Director, Dr. Dwight A. Moody

Dr. Moody is an ordained Baptist preacher, formerly pastor of churches in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky, and for 11 years Dean of the Chapel at Georgetown College where he designed and directed the campus initiative on vocational discernment. Dr. Moody is a graduate of Georgetown College, studied at Notre Dame and in Jerusalem, and hold a PhD in systematic theology from Southern Baptist Seminary. He is: a published author, an avid fan of Steeler football and Kentucky basketball, married with three grown children, and—of great importance—the grandfather of one little boy name Sam.
