During these initial year of operation leadership for the Academy of Preachers has been provided by several groups, including the Board of Advisors. This volunteer network, located primarily in the immediate region of the AoP office (Louisville), has provided invaluable service as advisors, consultants, mentors, conveners, advocates, and evaluators. As the Academy of Preachers prepares to incorporate as a non profit entity in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and apply for its own federal tax exempy status, it will be necessary for a national Board of Directors to be selected and empowered to exercise official and legal management of the Academy.
