Lodging & Meal Packages
The Lodging and Meal Packages offered by the Academy of Preachers cover the cost of three nights’ lodging at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta (Buckhead) and five meals during the 2013 National Festival. These meals include Breakfast on Thursday and Friday, dinner buffet on Wednesday and Thursday, and PREACHAPALOOZA on Friday evening. (Lunch each day of the Festival is “Own Your Own” and there are a variety of food options to fit any budget conveniently located within walking distance of the Grand Hyatt. The Lodging and Meal Packages are available to anyone (Young Preachers and other Attendees) who would like to purchase them.
The costs of the Lodging and Meal Packages for the National Festival are:
- $350 for a double room (3 nights, 5 meals)
- $450 for a single room (3 nights, 5 meals)
If you are a Young Preacher and select one of these packages, your $50 non-refundable deposit counts toward the package balance. You can pay the remaining balance online or by check anytime before November 15, 2012.
The Academy of Preachers no longer requires Young Preachers to pay a separate Registration Fee to register for the National Festival. Rather, a $50 non-refundable deposit is all that is required to secure your place at the 2013 event. This deposit counts toward the overall cost of Lodging and Meal Packages or Daily Rates. While guests are not required to pay the $50 deposit at Registration, all Lodging and Meal Packages must be paid in full by November 15, 2012.
If you do not plan to attend the National Festival in its entirety but plan to attend on select days and participate in five meals during your stay, the Academy of Preachers offers a daily rate of $75 per person. This fee covers program costs and any AoP meals (Wednesday: dinner; Thursday: breakfast and dinner; Friday: breakfast and dinner). You will have the opportunity to select the “Daily Rate” option when you register to attend the 2013 National Festival.
NOTE: Young Preachers are expected to attend the 2013 National Festival of Young Preachers in its entirety. In addition, all Young Preachers are expected to secure lodging in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, including those young preachers who live in the Atlanta region. Some exceptions may be made, and Young Preachers have the opportunity to explain their circumstances that prevent them from attending the entire event or staying in the Grand Hyatt Hotel; please call the Academy of Preachers to discuss these matters. The $75 daily rate (in addition to the $50 registration fee) is available for Young Preachers who qualify for these exceptions; all Young Preachers who do not stay in the hotel must pay the daily rate for three days, or $225 (unless exceptions are granted).
Everyone who attends the 2013 National Festival of Young Preachers should make travel arrangements at their own expense. Your Sponsoring Church or Institution may be willing to also assist you with this travel expense.
