If you are at least 16 years old, not older than 28, and if God is calling you to a vocation as a Gospel Preacher, then the Academy of Preachers (AoP) is for you!

You may be in school (high school, college, university, seminary), between schools, or out of school: doesn’t matter.

But you must have two things: a congregation (or institution) that endorses you and a preaching mentor that supports you. If you have these two things, you are eligible to register for the National Festival of Young Preachers. The pictures featured throughout this website were taken during the 2011 National Festival of Young Preachers in Louisville, Kentucky. All those who preach at the National Festival of Young Preachers, held each year in January, are inducted into the Academy of Preachers. Already, more than 175 young preachers are AoP members. Visit our Charter Members and Class of 2011 pages to see a complete membership list.

In addition to the National Festival, you can also preach at one of the many Campus Festivals we co-sponsor around the country. To learn more about upcoming Campus Festivals, visit “Festivals.” Or you can sign up for a summer Preaching Camp. There are currently four camps scheduled for the summer of 2011, and more information about them is coming soon.

Finally, young people have the opportunity to serve on the Young Preachers Leadership Team. Applications for the 2012 Team will be available in the fall of 2011.
