2019 National Festival Preview: Location

You just registered for, or are interested in registering for the 2019 National Festival of Young Preachers in Atlanta, but you might have a few questions: Where are the locations? What about transportation? Are there any good places to eat?

You can find answers here! Below, you will find helpful information on the location for the 2019 Festival presented by Joseph T. Howard, AoP ’12.


The Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead is where you will stay, and where most Festival activities will occur. Your preaching sessions, preaching circle meetings, plenary sessions, and more will happen in the hotel.

Finding the Hotel from the Airport:

If you fly into Atlanta, find the Marta train. Get on the Red Line Northbound North Springs Train. Take the train to the Buckhead exit. After exiting the station, walk two blocks south to find the hotel.



Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, and several other dining options are within walking distance of the hotel.


Second Location:

Peachtree Road UMC will host several of the Festival activities, including the Gospel Slam, worship sessions, some meals, and more. It is a walking distance away from the hotel.

About Joseph…

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Joseph earned an Associates of Arts Degree and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree respectively in Biblical Studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, GA. Currently, he is a Master’s Of Divinity student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Joseph has worked with the Academy of Preachers since first attending in 2012 and has served as a member of the Gospel Catalyst Team, a preaching circle facilitator, and has attended and preached at every National Festival since 2012. Currently, he serves as Head Recruiter and a Social Media specialist.

Joseph resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, Rev. Bianca Robinson Howard. He serves as an Associate Minister at Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church in Atlanta, as well as the Youth Pastor of Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, in Rockmart, GA.
