T. L. McSwain Scholarship Prizes

The Scholarship Prizes awarded at the inaugural Festival of Young Preachers were presented in memory of a well-known Kentucky Baptist preacher, T. L. McSwain. From an early age McSwain was regarded as an effective preacher. He served churches in Owensboro, Richmond, and Louisville, all in Kentucky, and also a church in Georgia. His widow, sons, and friends have provided funds to underwrite the Scholarship Prizes at the 2010 Festival of Young Preachers.
